Found March 06, 2013 on Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
PLAYERS: Cam Fowler
TEAMS: Anaheim Ducks
I recently picked up my third Cam Fowler autograph for nothing more than a fistful of George Washingtons. The seller offered combined shipping so I snagged a couple of other hits on the cheap. One is earmarked for a particular repeat trade partner and the other will eventually find itself in someone else's collecting hands.Numbered 46/50, I absolutely LOVE the design of this Panini set, from the layout to the picture to Fowler's prominent and somewhat silhouetted place on said cardboard. I do wish the card was hard-signed, as all three of my Cam signatures feature stickers, but beggars can't be choosers. Or something like that. I'll eventually add a Fowler Dominion RC Auto to the collection to fulfill that on-card John Hancock desire.

Anaheim Signs Sarault and Gagne

Anaheim has made two entry level signings this week. First, they signed center Charlie Sarault to a three year contract that was announced on Tuesday.  Sarault, 21, currently leads the Ontario Hockey League in scoring for the Sarnia Sting. "I guess since its not so much of a secret anymore, yes the rumours are true I did just lately sign to the Anaheim Ducks, I can...

Ducks make shutout easy for Hiller

Jonas Hiller faced only 18 shots in his first shutout of the season, Corey Perry scored in the first period and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Phoenix Coyotes 2-0 on Wednesday night for their ninth straight home victory. The teams met for the third straight time in a five-day span, following a pair of 5-4 shootout victories by the Coyotes in Phoenix on Saturday and Monday. This was...

Bruce Boudreau miffed by Anaheim's poor defense

Anaheim Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau is imploring his team to get back to defensive basics. His team lost consecutive games to the Phoenix Coyotes in 5-4 shootouts. Boudreau played each of his goaltenders and got the same result. This left him most displeased.“I was hoping it wasn’t a repeat,” Boudreau told reporters during his postgame briefing. “I’m more upset to give up...

Coyotes aim to finish sweep of Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks and Phoenix Coyotes played two eerily similar games against each other this week before the action shifts to California. The Coyotes posted two shootout wins over the Ducks, who try to bounce back and extend their eight-game home win streak when these teams meet again Wednesday night. This contest caps three straight between the Pacific Division rivals, who had...

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Jonas Hiller faced only 18 shots in his first shutout of the season, Corey Perry scored in the first period and the Anaheim Ducks beat the Phoenix Coyotes 2-0 on Wednesday night for their ninth straight home victory. The teams met for the third straight time in a five-day span, following a pair of 5-4 shootout victories by the Coyotes in Phoenix on Saturday...

Ducks 2, Coyotes 0

Ducks beat Coyotes in 3rd straight meeting

ANAHEIM, Calif. About Last Night…Jonas is King of the Hiller

Jonas Hiller turned aside all 18 Phoenix shots and Ryan Getzlaf posted an empty-net goal and an assist as the Anaheim Ducks blanked the Phoenix Coyotes 2-0. Corey Perry had the Ducks’ other goal. SPIN: Perhaps Hiller’s demise was a little exaggerated. He rode the Ducks’ coattails at the start of the season but got replaced by Victor Fasth between the pipes. Hiller was able...

Getz and Pears: Clearcut Combos.

I recently acquired an awesome dual auto I had wanted to own for some time. The price was finally right and I landed a great steal at a bit over half a blaster for the below beaut of my favorite hockey player and his longtime running mate.Numbered 033/100, it's my second dual autograph featuring Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry and my second dual signatures card from the Trilo3y...

Ducks Shut Out Coyotes 2-0

It only took three times (and a change of venue!) but the Ducks finally defeated the Coyotes.  After two consecutive 5-4 shootout losses in Phoenix, the miniseries came to Anaheim where everything changed. The Ducks and Jonas Hiller were able to procure a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday night.  In a case of very strange fuzzy math, the Ducks and Coyotes split the three game series...

Ducks Lose Two in a Row in Shootout with Coyotes

The Ducks will be happy to get the Phoenix Coyotes out of their system.  Monday night's 5-4 shootout loss looked like a repeat of Saturday's loss.  Only the goal scorers and netminder changed.  Jonas Hiller got the nod in net for Anaheim and did not fare any better than Viktor Fasth did two nights before.  Mike Smith got the same results, though, helping his team...

Flames-Ducks Preview

After facing the same team for three straight games, the Anaheim Ducks should be eager for the chance to extend their home winning streak against a different opponent Friday night. The Ducks look for a 10th straight victory at Honda Center while also trying to continue their home success against a Calgary Flames team seeking a season-high third consecutive win. Anaheim (16-3-3...
