After hearing the Jim Tressell interview and the Pete Carroll interview before the BIG game this weekend, I noted that both coaches complimented the other team tremendously. Both coaches mentioned balance. They both mentioned that if their teams played well, they would have a chance to win. This is what one would expect from class act coaches, who are in the utmost spot light as the game is being touted as the Pre-conference game of the year. As Pete Carroll was an Ohio State football assistant coach under Earl Bruce, he brought up how he had wanted to meet Woody Hayes. He saw Woody walking outside the St. John arena and he ran and caught up with Woody and walked and talked with him for about ten minutes. Woody knew who he was and was very cordial to him. That one year that Carroll was an assistant at OSU they lost to USC in the Rose Bowl due to Charlie Whites spectacular running.
