Daniel and Henrik Sedin have avoided free agency at season's end, with each signing a four-year, $28 million contract extension with the Vancouver Canucks. The brothers will earn an average of $7 million per season. The deal will see the 33-year-old Swedish twins remain in a Canucks uniform through the end of the 2017-18 season and likely finish their NHL careers in Vancouver. "Daniel and Henrik are exemplary leaders, teammates and humanitarians and we're very pleased to have them as part of our team for the long-term," said general manager Mike Gillis. "Few players in the history of this club have had more significant roles in contributing to the success of this team and to our community and we look forward to many more years with their positive influence leading the way." The Sedin's are in the final year of a five-year, $30.5 million deal they signed ahead of the 2009-10 season.
