Waiver wire addition from the Blackhawks First reported by Darren Dreger of TSN on twitter, the Canucks have signed Ryan Stanton. Vancouver claims Ryan Stanton off Waivers from Chicago. — Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) September 30, 2013 In Chicago Kostka won the position battle for one of the last remaining d-man spots, forcing Chicago to put Stanton on waivers. Stanton is 6’2 196. He’s 24 and had 3 goals and 22 assist last year in Rockford of the AHL. He also chimed in with 126 PIM’s. In March 2010, the Blackhawks signed Stanton to a three-year entry-level contract. Stanton’s first professional goal was scored in a 4-3 Rockford IceHogs loss on February 23, 2011 against the Chicago Wolves.
