I don’t know who or what happened to Brian Scalabrine’s face, but it looks like he caught the wrong end of something. If he was the winner, I would hate to see the other guy. Bad timing too for the new Warriors assistant coach right before picture day at the new job.

We don’t have really info on this photo except that it is reported to have come from the Warriors’ media day on Monday, and the White Mamba looks like he got touched up. If it is real this could go down as one of the best pictures to come out of any NBA media day. Article found on: Next Impulse Sports
Brian Scalabrine is now an assistant with the Warriors. He showed up today looking like he stumbled into the gym straight from a fight at a strip club.
Just more proof that whatever Scal does is awesome.
After missing a full season of NBA action due to injury, Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose officially practiced with the team and it appears that he is feeling good about his surgically-repaired knee.
Check out the below quote gathered by ESPN Chicago’s Nick Friedell about how Rose felt about playing during the practice:
“I feel [like I'm] back,” Rose said after the Bulls’...
There are times when Tom Thibodeau obfuscates particularly when it comes to injury updates. And there are others when he is completely direct and clear.
The Bulls coach took the latter approach when discussing Jimmy Butler on Saturday.
"Jimmy has changed" Thibodeau said. "He's in a different place and I think there are some different things we can change to take...
This photo of Brian Scalabrine from the Warriors' Media Day looks like he was beat up and given two black eyes.
Now an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors, Brian Scalabrine (AKA The White Mamba) showed up for the team’s media day photo shoot sporting quite the shiner. I don’t know the reason for the black eye, and when I started to search around to find out why he was rocking it, I decided that I didn’t care. It’s Brian Scalabrine, after all, and he’s one of the most entertaining...
Team Preview: Chicago Bulls
Fifth on the list is the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls will be a very interesting team to watch this season, primarily because the center of attention will be focused on the return of their star, Derrick Rose. However, the big question that everyone will look at is how does he return from the injury? Rose was hurt two seasons ago in a playoff game against...
If you think the G.O.A.T. Brian Scalabrine looks bad, just wait ’til you see the grizzly bear.
(Alas, the real reason for the black eye is going to disappoint you.)

A couple weeks ago, Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson, Warriors GM Bob Myers, assistant coach Brian Scalabrine along with a host of others front office members got a chance to play some pick-up hoops at San Quentin prison.
Below is a video taken by folks over at Inside Bay Area which shows the inmates playing against Marc along with the other front office members:
Warriors head coach Mark Jackson teamed up with Golden State Warriors GM Bob Myers and members of the coaching staff and front office including Brian Scalabrine (his participation may explain this Media Day photo) to play a pickup game against inmates at the San Quentin Prison in California.
Mark Jackson spoke about the experience with Inside Bay Area:
“I just want people to know...
In a recent interview with ESPN the Magazine’s “The Gamer Blog,” NBA Jam’s original lead designer Mark Turmell finally revealed what most of us have been screaming for the last 20 years – the NBA is fixed! Well, maybe not the actual NBA, but at least the video game version is a complete sham. A lifelong Detroit Pistons fan, Turmell admitted that there was actually code...
