Fox Sports Arizona:
TEMPE, Ariz. If timing is everything, then Ken Whisenhunts machinery could use some fine-tuning. When it comes to quarterbacks, the Cardinals coachs internal clock seems a bit off.
In the latest turn in the Cardinals 3-year-old quarterback saga, Whisenhunt announced Wednesday that John Skelton will resume his role as the clubs starting quarterback when the club faces Seattle on Sunday at CenturyLink Field. Its the same role Skelton lost to Kevin Kolb in Week 1 due to an ankle injury, and the one he lost in Atlanta to Ryan Lindley after a poor first quarter on Nov. 18.
Theres a number of reasons that were making this decision, Whisenhunt said. Im not going to get into each one of those reasons, but thats the direction were going.
Some of it has to do with playing up there in that noise, in that environment, but Im not going to get into all of them.
Did Whisenhunt get an edict from above to pull the plug on the not-ready-for-primetime Lindley experiment? Did he realize that his j...

Mike Jurecki reports that the Cardinals will start John Skelton at quarterback this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks.
#Cards starting QB John Skelton this week vs Seattle.

Given that Ryan Lindley appears to be one of the worst quarterbacks in NFL, this moves makes plenty of sense, even though you could argue that Skelton is also...
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb told Darren Urban of AZCardinals.com that his broken ribs still aren’t completely healed.
“A lot of the (slow recovery) goes back to the injury itself,” Kolb said. “The way that my ribs are broken, they aren’t completely healed.
“Whenever the cartilage broke, (the ribs) are laying underneath my sternum. That’s how they are trying...
The Ryan Lindley experiment at quarterback is over. John Skelton will start for the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14 at Seattle.
Despite the struggles of Lindley, 10-of31 with a interception, the Cardinals never considered allowing Skelton to play in last weeks loss to the New York Jets. During that game the Jets replaced a struggling Mark Sanchez at quarterback and won with third string...
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Arizona Cardinals have released TE Todd Heap.
Heap, 32, has been inactive for 10 straight games, despite the fact that he’s no longer dealing with issues related to a previous knee injury that he suffered. Heap apparently hasn’t been able to practice at full speed, which is why the team had held him out of game-action.
It’s hard to imagine...
Former Baltimore Ravens TE is now a former Arizona Cardinals TE as well. Reports are out today that the Cardinals are parting ways with the two-time Pro Bowler in the midst of the their downward spiral. Heap was selected in the 1st round of the 2001 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens, where he played until signing a two-year deal with the Cardinals just beofre the 2011 season.
Arizona defensive tackle Darnell Dockett says he's apologized to teammate Kerry Rhodes for the pair's on-field run-in during the waning seconds of last Sunday's loss to the New York Jets.
Dockett says Rhodes has forgiven him and the pair is moving on.
What Dockett described as a ''very heated argument'' stemmed from Rhodes trying to persuade him to allow...
Arizona safety Kerry Rhodes has confirmed he had a run-in with teammate Darnell Dockett at the end of Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
Rhodes says in an email released by the Cardinals that there was an on-field ''disagreement'' but emphatically denies a report that Dockett spit in his face and says the two have agreed to move on.
The dispute reportedly...
TEMPE, Ariz. Maybe somebody should roll out Herman Edwards infamous postgame press conference for Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett.
You play to win the game! Hello?! You play to win the game!
Give Dockett credit for facing the media on Wednesday, as a team captain should do. Give Dockett credit for apologizing to teammate Kerry Rhodes for an altercation of which details...
Let’s face it, Arizona’s single shining moment of QB excellence was between 2005 & 2009, when Kurt Warner was under center. Before and since it has been middling at best and a disaster at worst, with the 2012 season shaping up to be a prime example of the latter.
With his team currently mired in an eight-game losing streak after starting the season 4-0, coach Ken Whisenhunt...

Headline: Seahawks Return Home to Take on Unravelling Cardinals in Week 14
The Seattle Seahawks return home after a two game road trip resulted in one win and one loss. The end result – the Hawks still occupy a Wild Card spot in the NFC and the team is getting better and more confident as the weeks roll on.
In Week 14, Seattle entertains an Arizona...
After being pulled late in week 13′s matchup against the capricious Arizona Cardinals after throwing his third INT and generally being ineffective, Sanchez will get yet another shot in the saddle. Rex Ryan has named Mark Sanchez the starting QB for Sunday’s game in Jacksonville, in what some would call an appalling display of “cement-headedness.” This decision [...]
