Carl Crawford has tweaked a groin injury and will have to restart his rehab. Major League players are only allowed to spend 20 in the minors to rehab from injuries. However, this new injury allows Crawford to start over, though he is required to wait 5 days before he can begin another rehab stint. The original elbow injury that landed Crawford on the DL is still bothering him as well. “It’s not 100 percent healthy, but I’m able to hit,” Crawford said. “Pretty much whenever I’m able to start hitting the ball and swinging the bat, then I’ll play.” The former All Star was signed during the 2011 offseason to a mammoth 7 year/$142 million contract. In his first year, he struggled mightily and finished the year with a .255/.289/.405 line and just 0.2 fWAR. 2012 has been even worse, as he has yet to play in a single game for the big league team.
