Boston Sports Then & Now:
After two losses to the defending champions Miami Heat and the surprising Milwaukee Bucks to open the season, the Celtics got their first win of the season by holding off the Washington Wizards in the closing seconds. As Jason Terry stated in his diary, Saturday’s game was a must win against a team who has suffered some injuries and was the perfect opportunity for the Celtics to get off the schnide.
Before the season started, coach Doc Rivers said that he would be implementing multiple starting lineups and he backed this claim by inserting rookie Jared Sullinger into the starting lineup Saturday night with Brandon Bass coming off the bench. It’s going to take some time for the team to be fully comfortable with each other but with one of the best coaches at the helm, I think it’ll be sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see how the rotation is changed once Avery Bradley returns from injury. For now, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, and Leandro Barbosa will have more playing time with Barbosa being the one who will most likely lose playing time once Bradley returns.
It’s still early in the season, so it remains to be seen how good this team will be and if they will challenge the Miami Heat in the East. The Celtics will look to continue their winning ways on Wednesday by playing the Washington Wizards for the second game in a row, this time at home. They’ll stay at home on Friday night against the new look Philadelphia 76ers and will look to avenge Friday’s loss to the Bucks on Saturday.

Boston Celtics guard Jason Terry has ‘some’ of the weirder superstitions in the league. Terry explains his superstitions in his blog for ESPN,in fact he has made one of them public (see above). ‘Some’ being the important word in the previous sentence, Terry has a few…
* Jason will ALWAYS eat chicken before a game.
* He ALWAYS wears 5 pairs of socks…..FIVE!!

BOSTON -- Jason Terry asked to be held accountable. He
wanted to be the one held responsible for the Celtics' bench, good or bad, and
on Friday it was time to stand up and bear the type of punishment he
claimed he would take.
In both of the Celtics' losses to open this season, Boston's
bench was outscored by its counterpart on the opposing team. After...
I love Jason Terry. I've shared my excitement for his signing numerous times on this blog. Yet for the past 3 games, former 6th man of the year hasn't been able to live up to the hype, which is perfectly in line with the team's story overall. Of course the Celtics are going to solve their problems and get better as they find chemistry/identity/Ubuntu/hyena spirit, but...
What is that joke about giving up your day job or something?
It appears Celtics guard Jason Terry wants to do more to meet his new fans in Boston. So he appeared in a video as a parking attendant. A parking attendant charging $30 park. And wondering why nobody will park in his lot.
Would you park for a basketball, baseball or football game for $30?
In the Celtics Minute, Doc and Jason Terry discuss the need for more consistency and for hard work to get the Celtics to where they want to be. Doc stressed the need for hard work, "Being a good team takes work. You don't just show up, and because you've got good names on paper, and be good." Doc closed today's practice with conditioning drills as part of...
The stage is set for another successful season out of the Boston Celtics, a team that’s managed to round out its roster with some younger pieces, yet still was able to maintain its veteran core.
Rajon Rondo, while still only 26 years old, has become a part of that core, as he’s teamed up with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to give the Celtics a Big Three over the past few seasons...
It has been a debate that has entrenched social media — some would claim it’s not a debate at all — for much of the long and weary off-season, as well as the first week of regulation play of the 2012-2013 season. Jason Terry of the Boston Celtics ROCKS the headband like no other. He decided to spread the LOVE across Boston with MIXED RESULTS.
This video proves that all heads are NOT HEADBAND WORTHY. One woman was having a major issue putting on this athletic fashion accessory.
Yes, we are NOT KIDDING.

The Boston Celtics have some very big problems right now. I stress right now because it’s way too early in the season to get TOO worked up. but I stress “very” because the Celtics problems are really, really, really quite bad. Don’t let the 11 point final spread fool you, the Celtics got blown out all game long. A couple of Jason Terry threes in garbage time helped...
It has been the lack of performance from KG that has made victories hard to come by early on in the season.
This isn’t exactly how we Celtics fans expected our team to come out of the gate. Especially not with promises from Jason Terry of a championship and overall confidence beaming from the entire team. And let’s not forget the trip overseas that supposedly bonded...
