Holy Cross High School graduate Avon Cobourne scored the only two touchdowns for Montreal as the Alouettes won their second straight Grey Cup championship with a 21-18 win over the Saskatchewan Rough Riders. After an outstanding high school career, the 2009 Grey Cup MVP went on to set numberous records at West Virginia University. He played breifly for the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins before landing inthe Canadian Football League. In five years with Montreal, Cobourne has become one of the premier running backs in the northern league. Cobourne ran 15 times for 67 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 15 yards in the game.
