The Chicago Blackhawks went 70-0-10, having already clinched home ice advantage all the way through 2019. They are the reigning Stanley Cup Champions from now until 2034. Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman has been crowned Supreme Overlord of Earth. This is what your Twitter timeline looks like everyday right now if you follow a lot of Chicago Blackhawks fans and media who cover them. And I am totally fine with that. Whatever keeps me from having to write about baseball is just kosher with me. Because writing about the White Sox and Cubs literally sucks page views off your website. The apathy for baseball in this city is at record levels. Remember that stupid color-coded terrorist threat system the government tried to sell us in 2002? Take whatever color was the worst, apply it to baseball levels of “don’t care” and you’re still not even close. Well, the Chicago Blackhawks have already won another title; in Ice Crew competition.  The Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew was crowned the Hottest Ice Girls after winning a two-week fan poll conducted by a hockey news Web puckthathit.com. So there you go, Chicago; of all the Ice Girls, Ice Crews, or “Hooters waitresses on skates” as I call them, yours is the best. The Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew ran away with the title by capturing 2,322 votes, or 30-percent of the more than 8,600 total votes cast in the contest. The Carolina Hurricane Storm Squad finished second with 1,318 votes, for 17-percent of the total. The Phoenix Coyotes Pack Dance Team finished in last, with only 82 votes, for 1-percent of the total. During stoppages of play at home games, Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew members don skates and wield large shovels to help clear ice shavings from the playing surface. They also can be found throughout the United Center taking pictures, signing autographs (if you’re over the age of 12 and asking one of these girls for her autograph, it’s time to take a long hard look at your life) and throwing t-shirts or foam pucks to the fans.
