Found August 19, 2013 on Pro Sports Daily:
The Chiefs were tired of waiting on Jon Baldwin and the 49ers were tired of waiting on A.J. Jenkins. So naturally they traded their problems for one another. The Chiefs announced the deal of former first-round wide receivers with the 49ers getting the 26th overall pick in the 2011 Draft for the 30th overall pick in the 2012 Draft. It was becoming clear that the 49ers were souring on Jenkins of late (he had one catch in the preseason and fumbled it) and both teams are banking on the fresh start being worth something.

After WR swap, Jenkins dives into life with Chiefs

A.J. Jenkins never thought he'd be back in Kansas City so soon. The former first-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers played in a preseason game against the Chiefs on Friday night at Arrowhead Stadium. On Tuesday morning, he was wearing a white shirt with that familiar arrowhead logo while participating in a walk-through before practice. Such is the NFL, where life can be...

Second Chance for Jenkins

We can play connect the dots when it comes to the trade that sent Chiefs receiver Jon Baldwin to the 49ers for receiver A.J. Jenkins, but that matters very little now. Kansas City has a talented young man who is going to get an opportunity to show his late bloomer college status wasn’t a fluke.

Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t say whether A.J. Jenkins will make the final roster

49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t say whether or not second-year wide receiver A.J. San Francisco 49ers trade WR AJ Jenkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for WR Jonathan Baldwin

This is a very interesting deal for the 49ers. The Chiefs dealing Baldwin isn’t unprecedented. He’s largely been a bust through the first two years of his career and the Head Coach/GM combo of Todd Haley and Scott Pioli that drafted him is gone. Andy Reid and John Dorsey aren’t making a mistake getting rid of him. They’re just trying to get the best 53 possible. The 49ers...
