It seems that it's only a matter of time before Chip Kelly is officially announced as the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns.  And that should excite Browns fans.  This marks the beginning of a new era in the history of the Cleveland Browns.  In years past, the team would have most likely settled for the their third or fourth pick for head coach.  In this case however, they knew who they wanted and they aggressively went after him.  In doing so, they have set the tone for the organization going forward. On the field, this is a wake up call to the AFC North.  The Browns will no longer be a weak offensive team.  They will no longer be predictable, conservative and inept.  Instead, they will be fast and aggressive.  The pace of the Chip Kelly offense will be something the Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals will have to prepare for.  It's something that perhaps could scare them.  Can the aging defensive players of the Steelers and Ravens handle the pace of a high powered Kelly off...

Chip Kelly Spurns Eagles, Browns; Stays at Oregon

Coach Chip Kelly, who was expected by many to make the jump from the college ranks to the NFL this offseason, has elected to return to the Oregon Ducks rather than pursue a head coaching position with a team such as the Philadelphia Eagles or Cleveland Browns, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Report: Chip Kelly is ‘very close’ to a deal with the Browns

Cleveland fans have needed their team to give them a “we are really serious about winning football games” type move since the NFL gave football back to the city. The Lerner family never really showed much interest, but it seems that new owner Jimmy Haslam is wasting zero time in his first offseason. He is going for the end zone in his first big move besides getting rid of Pat...
