With all the Rumors circulating throughout Sunday that Kelly had been negotiating with the Tampa Bay Bucs it isn't surprising what we just read this over at the REGISTER-GUARD.

University of Oregon football coach Chip Kelly has reached an agreement to become the head coach of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a highly placed UO athletic department source told Adam Jude.

Quote: “It’s done,” the source said Sunday night.

A deal has not been announced by Tampa Bay. KGW-TV in Portland reported Sunday evening that a deal was “close.”

Early indications, of course just pure speculation and rumor is that Boise State Broncos head man Chris Petersen's name will come up.

My vote would be for Chris Petersen, but he does have a record of turning down school for higher paying jobs. He apparently loves the MECCA that is Boise.

Who knows, maybe he bolts for Boise State.

What I do know is this. The fine folks at Washington (Steve Sarkisian et al) are smiling really big tonight.

Seattle Radio host Dave Softy Mahler tonight on twitter said

Quote: Could Oregon overcome Chip Kelly leaving? Absolutely. Could Oregon take a huge step back without Chip Kelly? Absolutely. I agree 100%.

Stay tuned for the official announcement from Oregon on Tuesday.
