Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson was a guest on Jim Rome’s nationally syndicated CBS Sports Radio show Tuesday. When asked about Tennessee’s offseason specifics, Johnson raised some eyebrows with his brutal honesty and confidence. On repeating a 2,000 yard season: “I know I have another 2,000 yard season in me… I would love to get 2,000 yards again, but I haven’t been to the playoffs since my rookie year, I want to get back there.” On the drafting of Alabama guard Chance Warmack in this year’s draft: ““I was like ‘Thank God’… [It showed] they’re trying to put somebody in front of me and opening some more holes for me.” On the signing of Shonn Greene as the back-up running back: “I didn’t like the move, I didn’t think it was a smart move… [But] that’s because of being too quick to say things and not really knowing the whole objectives of things. Once the off-season started, being here, being in the playbook and seeing the type of things they’re trying to do, I don’t think it was really a bad choice.  I’m not worried about him taking any carries.” On Greene taking away goal line carries: “At the end of the day you want to stay in there… [But] I’d rather have 2,000 yards than have 20 touchdowns, so you got to take the good with the bad.” To hear the entire interview with Rome, visit the show’s page by clicking here.
