PLAYERS: Claude Julien
TEAMS: Boston Bruins
With the Senators’ noted defense, it figured that the Bruins would have to slog one out for a win on Thursday. That’s exactly the kind of game it turned out to be, as scoring turned out to be at a premium in Boston’s 2-1 win. However, coach Claude Julien wasn’t pleased with all aspects of the Bruins’ effort, nothing that the legs looked perhaps just a little bit tired on the first game back to the TD garden after a five-game road swing. Check out Julien’s postgame comments with Naoko Funayama in the video above.

Elizabeth Banks is a Boston Bruins fan; Bruins PA Announcer attractive

Elizabeth Banks recently took to her blog to convey her lock for the game of hockey. And her desire to watch the Boston Bruins. To quote a famous but fictional Bostonian, Cliff Claven, “it’s a little known fact that.” Here’s what the famous Jewish actress posted on the Elizabeth Banks blog in response to an “I love hockey” post by the Bruins public address announcer....

Boston Bruins game winning goal scored by Patrice Bergeron.

NESN announcer Jack Edwards with the call on Boston Bruins game winning goal, scored by Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron. There was no doubt that it was a goal... Boston Bruins Haters the world over are probably happy it wasn't the Little Ball of Hate.

Milan Lucic Defends His Hit on Rick Nash, Bruins’ ‘Hard-Nosed’ Style of Hockey

Milan Lucic is one tough hombre on one of the NHL’s toughest teams, and that’s something that has led to a target on the back of Lucic and the rest of the Bruins. However, it’s also tough to argue with the fact that the physical style of play that Lucic and the B’s play is successful. The 2011 Stanley Cup champions were one of the roughest, toughest teams in the NHL, and...

Brad Marchand is on pace for 50+ goals (if it was an 82 game season)

So, after Marchand put another one in the back on the net last night, it got me to thinking, if this was going to be an 82 game season, how many goals would Marchand be on pace for? After doing the math, it comes out to 51, or 55 goals depending on if you count the game he didn't play or not. Either way, 50+ flipping goals? If you had told me last year that Marchand would be...

Bruins 2, Senators 1, OT

Patrice Bergeron scored the winning goal with 1:21 left in overtime after a replay review, lifting the surging Boston Bruins to a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night. Nathan Horton scored the other goal for Boston, which won its fourth straight and was coming off a 4-1 road trip. The Bruins are 13-2-2 this season. Tuukka Rask made 30 saves for the Bruins, including...

Is the Price Right? Looking at Boston's Cost/Point Ratio

For last night's Days of Y'Orr Pregame Show, I had a feature all set up where we looked at how much each Bruins cost per point scored, with cha-ching sound effects and everything, and then my Internet went and **** the bed. We were able to finish the DOYLive show but I had to cut the feature for time sake. But I didn't want the graphics to go to waste. ...

Lightning at Bruins game preview

Game time: 1 p.m. ETTV: Sun Sports Throughout their history, the Tampa Bay Lightning have rarely picked up points in Boston. The last time they visited, they didn't even have a chance. After the Lightning witnessed a New England blizzard last month, they expect to get a game in - and hope to snap a disheartening three-game losing streak - when they face the red-hot Bruins on...

RECAP: Luck of the O'Bergeron. BRUINS WIN!

Thank you Robin Lehner for letting it two really weird ******* goals to have the Bruins win their 5th straight game. I don't want to say that I called a close game, but I did during the pre-game show that I apparently ****** up hosting and it's my dumb face doing dumb facial things while other people talk. Oh well, it was my first time so consider my cherry popped...

Ty Anderson: "Well, who now?"

A reunion between the Boston Bruins and Michael Ryder seemed to be the standby option for just about every Hub of Hockey enthusiast out there. One of beloved figure from the 2011 Stanley Cup run and fixture on the Boston wing from 2008 to 2011, one of two things were going to happen in regards to the 32-year-old’s tenure in Dallas that’d ultimately land him back in Boston...

Bruins Finally Return Home, But Red-Hot Senators Await With Potentially Rude Welcome Party (Video)

The Bruins are back home, but they shouldn’t expect much of a welcome party from the Ottawa Senators. After wrapping up their longest road trip of the season, the B’s now have to deal with a red-hot team in the Senators that has won five games in a row and keeps rolling without its biggest stars. While it’s nice to be back at home, it’s never easy playing a divisional rival...

Senators-Bruins Preview

The Boston Bruins have the best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference, but what the Ottawa Senators are doing may be even more impressive given their injury-decimated roster. Both teams put winning streaks on the line as these Northeast Division rivals meet for the first time this season Thursday night in Boston. The Bruins (12-2-2) are fully healthy and playing like it...

Ty Anderson: Live-blog: Rask and Lehner duel in Hub

Welcome to the TD Garden for tonight's contest between the Boston Bruins and visiting Ottawa Senators. Finally, the Boston Bruins have come back to the TD Garden. In the first of four meetings between this two...

Bruins-Lightning Live: B’s Welcome Lightning Back to Boston for Matinee Tilt at Garden

8 a.m. ET: Thankfully there’s no blizzard in the forecast for Boston on Saturday afternoon, which means this visit from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Garden should go off without a hitch. The Bolts are back in Boston for a Saturday matinee with the Bruins, four weeks after a nasty blizzard forced a previously scheduled Saturday matinee to be postponed (that game is rescheduled...
