Los Angeles Clippers
While Chauncey Billups hasn't put up huge numbers, his presence appears to have given the Los Angeles Clippers a bit of a boost.
The Clippers look to win their third straight game with the five-time All-Star back in the lineup Monday night when they visit the Utah Jazz, who will try for their 13th consecutive regular-season win at home.
Billups has played less than 20 minutes in each of his two starts since recovering from a torn left Achilles tendon that sidelined him for the final 38 games of last season and the first 14 this season.
However, Los Angeles, which had lost four straight before Billups' debut Wednesday, defeated Sacramento 116-81 on Saturday for its second straight win with him back in the lineup.
Billups had six points Saturday - he finished with seven three days earlier - but the Clippers (10-6) outscored the Kings 41-22 while he was on the court.
"I'm not going to take a long time getting adjusted to the other players," Billups said.
BEST OF MAXIM
LOS ANGELES -- The most notable fact about the Clippers this season isn't that they're beating good teams. It's that they were losing to bad ones.
The Heat, Spurs, Grizzlies and Lakers? No problem. The Hornets and Cavaliers? For some inexplicable reason, the Clippers sank to various levels of incompetency.
But it's possible they finally figured out what they were...
In a picture from Complex, Blake Griffin was spotted in Hollywood getting into his Mercedes-Benz. Apparently, this photo is of the Clippers forward getting into his whip after having dinner at a fancy steakhouse with a teammate. One may be asking why this is relevant. The reason for this is because Blake Griffin is sponsored by Kia. Now do those lame, but funny, commercials...
The road is full of potholes, and the Clippers almost fell into one Monday night. If they had, it wouldn't have been too surprising; teams don't go to EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City with big hopes.
The Utah Jazz were one of only three teams still unbeaten at home this season, and they seemed perfectly situated to beat the Clippers. But for all their missteps over...
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Blake Griffin scored 30 points, Jamal Crawford added 20 off the bench and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated Utah 105-104 on Monday night to hand the Jazz their first loss at home this season.
Crawford made a pair of free throws late and ex-Clipper Randy Foye countered with a 3-pointer with 1.2 seconds remaining. But Foye's desperation 3 after stealing...
It is a luxury to have two of the best leaders in the NBA on one team. That is exactly what the Clippers have in guards Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups. CP3 was voted by the general managers in 2012 as the best point guard and leader in the NBA - the previous winner of the award - was his current teammate, Chauncey Billups.Billups is the sage voice of reason, usually found in the...

Jamal Crawford scored 17 points off the bench, leading seven Clippers in double-digit scoring, and Los Angeles rested all of its starters in the fourth quarter of a 116-81 blowout of the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.
The Clippers beat Sacramento for the fourth straight time. Blake Griffin had 14 points and nine rebounds, Chris Paul had 14 points and five assists, and DeAndre...
SALT LAKE CITY -- It took a wild finish, but the Los Angeles Clippers did something no other NBA road team was able to do in the first month of the season. Win at Utah. Blake Griffin scored 30 points, Jamal Crawford hit two key free throws with 5.7 seconds remaining, and the Clippers outscored the previously unbeaten-at-home Jazz by 11 in the fourth quarter to escape with a 105...
LOS ANGELES -- Behind a concentrated team effort, the Los Angeles Clippers easily handled the visiting Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, 116-81, at Staples Center. Seven Clippers scored in double-figures, but none more than reserve guard Jamal Crawford's 17 points as Los Angeles head coach Vinny Del Negro emptied out the bench. Ten Clippers played between 17 and 29 minutes...
It was one of those nights for Chris Paul and the Clippers. I don’t know if the Kings ever really stood a chance. Midway through the first quarter and down 8, CP3 crossed up Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins and then put the cherry on top of the move with a dunk! Remember CP3 is a [...]
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Paul, Griffin come alive in final act/quarter
A good piece of music rises and falls like a good story. It climaxes at the end and builds and builds.
Excuse the cliche, but it fits what happend when the Clippers won at EnergySolutions Arena, erasing a 10-point deficit entering...
