That was a close one. Too close.
Overall it was a great game. The Thunder started out down by a few, then charged ahead and were up by at least 13 (maybe more, I cannot remember right now) toward the end the game. Westbrook and Durant had 31, and Westbrook added to his stats with 12 assists.
Thabo did great too, adding 10 points. Ibaka had 12. Overall, the shooting was much improved. 49.1% from the field, and 35-37 free throws. It doesn’t get much better than that.
However, the Thunder almost let this one slip away at the end. Late in the 4th, the 76ers came within 3 points, making it a 94-97 game. The Thunder stuck with it and got it done, though, although they made all of us nervous watching the 76ers on that late run!
Next game on Friday at home vs. Portland. OKC beat Portland in OT a few days ago, so this should be a good matchup. Portland fans can head over to the Rip City Project to check out their coverage of the game.
