There apparently is no way to overstate the importance of this week’s game. With the Giants riding a three-game losing streak and facing a schedule that just doesn’t get any easier, Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce has declared this “the Super Bowl for the New York Giants”.. That’s how much the Giants need a win this Sunday when the San Diego Chargers come to town. “If there’s a must-win game of the season for the New York Giants, it’s this week,” Pierce said on Monday, during his paid weekly spot on WFAN. “This is the biggest game of the year. People said the Saints game was the Super Bowl? No. This is the Super Bowl for the New York Giants team.
