The Phoenix Coyotes have sent forward Patrick O'Sullivan to their AHL affiliate in Portland, Maine.
The move was announced Tuesday by Phoenix general manager Don Maloney before the Coyotes played at Nashville.
O'Sullivan has two goals and one assist in 17 games with Phoenix this season.
The 26-year-old O'Sullivan has previously played in the NHL for Carolina and Minnesota and was a second-round pick of the Wild in the 2003 draft.

Radim Vrbata and Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored in the shootout, and Mike Smith stopped Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa in the tiebreaker to lead the Phoenix Coyotes to a wild 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night. Vrbata also scored in regulation for Phoenix, which had lost two games following a 4-1 victory over the Blackhawks last Tuesday.

The Nashville Predators and the Phoenix Coyotes have met twice this year splitting the series. The first meeting was on Nashville ice where the Coyotes took the Predators to the woodshed in a 5-2 victory. Nashville exacted some revenge by beating the Coyotes in Glendale by a score of 3-0.
