There; I said it. I know many of you are scoffing right now and thinking up funny, non-complimentary names to call me and that's okay (I'll cry later). Before you get too creative and feel the need to share them in the comments section notice that I only said consideration; I didn't say he should get it.

For most of the world there are only two candidates--Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson (I think Tom Brady should be in the mix as well). I go back and forth between the three, but when I was thinking about what makes an MVP I got to thinking that someone is getting left out.

In my mind the MVP of the NFL is a player that not only has a fantastic statistical year, but it has to mean something too (hence the exclusion of Calvin Johnson). It's not all about stats though; the player has to have made those around him better. He needs to be an integral part of the success of the team as well....

  • Peyton Manning will be the MVP and Adrian Peterson the Comeback Player of the Year....or vice versa...either way these two players earned those awards. PERIOD!!!
