Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks are ecstatic because Jason Kidd has verbally agreed to sign a 3-year/ $25M deal on Wednesday. I don't understand what all the excitement is about.Jason Kidd will be in the Hall of Fame one day, but like many other players still in the NBA, his best days are now behind him. The 8-time All-Star has seen his ppg decline steadily over the past 7 seasons and ,though still an excellent rebounding guard, his rebounding has dropped each of the last 4 seasons.Perhaps Kidd's skills haven't diminished, but clearly his physical abilities have. That's why I'm puzzled by this move by Mark Cuban. The 36-year-old Kidd is not getting any younger and his performance on the court drops with the pass of each year.The Dallas Mavericks are a 'middle of the pack' Western Conference team and judging by the acquisitions, or lack there of, they've made thus far this off season they will remain mediocre. I love Jason Kidd as much as the next ...
