First year Giant, Cullen Jenkins, is coming off his best game in Blue on Sunday vs. the Raiders. Watch him talk about the victory here.
This week, he will get the opportunity many players salivate over.
The chance to crush your former team and prove to them that they made a mistake by letting you walk.
"Any time you play against a team that maybe you felt they kind of looked past you, thought they would replace you or move on or didn't want you, whatever the reason is, you kind of have a little feeling where you want to prove them wrong," Jenkins said. "Show them that you still got it, and what better way to do it than if you're playing against them."
Jenkins won a Super Bowl with the Pack in 2010 his best season as a pro.
But after that season, the Packers made a decision to move on without him. Last year, after two season with the Eagles, they decided to do to the same thing - part ways with an aging D-lineman.
Clearly, Jenkins feels he still has a lot left to offer. He said that Sunday's game vs. the Packers - the first time he will meet them not wearing the Green and Yellow - will be special.
"It will be a special game for me," Jenkins then admitted. "I don't have too much animosity towards them."
Well, I hope you have a little animosity towards them, Cullen... at least enough to notch your first FULL sack of the season.
And with the situation in the Green Bay backfield, it might be an easier task than if Aaron Rodgers was back there...
"It's always nice to add a different quarterback's name to the list for your career, and I kind of was looking forward to having a chance to add him to this list this year," Jenkins said. "It is what it is. It isn't going to affect how you play, you're still trying to get back to whatever quarterback it is."
Jenkins has 15 combined tackles, .5 sacks, and 1 forced fumble this season.
However, kast week he recorded 5 of those tackles.
Build on that momentum, Cullen!
