Brian Cushing (ACL) said he’ll be cleared July 17 by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, FL. Training camp starts 7/26 #Texans — Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) June 14, 2013   “I’m basically doing everything I could be doing right now. I feel great and very confident heading into camp.” -@briancushing56 — Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) June 14, 2013   “I have a lot to prove to show that I am me again when I come back, and I have no doubts that I will.” -@briancushing56 — Nick Scurfield (@NickScurfield) June 14, 2013 Houston Texans inside linebacker Brian Cushing is set to get full clearance for football activities on July 17th from his personal doctor Dr. James Andrews. This is after tearing his ACL on an illegal block by offensive lineman Matt Slauson in a Monday Night game versus the New York Jets.   Cushing has been rehabbing non stop and has been working on the field with trainers during OTAs and mandatory mini-camp. During this time he has moved well and looks like he is ready for training camp with what we have seen from him. He has kept relatively quiet around media, but getting him back for the 2013 season will be huge for the Texans defense. How the Texans work him during training camp will be something to watch, but this news he is returning is good for the organization.     The Comebacks pic.twitter.com/cAZ6Rnp2Hv — Brian Cushing (@briancushing56) February 27, 2013
