As reported by TSN and the Dallas Morning News, long time Dallas Stars defenseman Sergei Zubov has signed with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL. Zubov only played in 10 games last season with the Stars, due to a severe hip injury. After 12 season's with Dallas the Russian born blueliner reportedly is returning home for a two-year deal. The Stars worked all summer to iron out a deal, which clearly couldn't develop. Zubov's agent had also been in contact with other teams, but lets be honest: a 10-game season, major hip injury and being 39-years old is a hard sell to any team. Including your employer of the last 12 years. "Zubie is the most skilled, talented, patient, poised guy I've ever played with, and that includes forwards," former Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig said to the Dallas Morning News.
