Former Miami Dolphins QB Dan Marino is not buying the ‘Suck for Luck‘ campaign many fans of winless teams are hoping their favorite franchise undertakes in order get the opportunity to draft Stanford QB Andrew Luck in the 2012 NFL Draft. Speaking on the Joe Rose show yesterday, Marino told the host that the idea of a team purposely losing their games in order to draft on player was ‘ridiculous’. “You got to win games. That’s what your job is–that’s the franchise. You don’t go out there trying to lose games. That’s just ridiculous. If that does happen, then you look at who’s the best possible player”. I have to agree with Marino on this point. There is no guarantee about any player in the NFL Draft, ask the San Diego Chargers about Ryan Leaf or the Oakland Raiders about JaMarcus Russell.
