This week, UFC president Dana White revealed bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey will immediately jump into filming “Fast and Furious 7″ after fulfilling her on-camera duties with “The Expendables 3.”
Rousey’s hectic Hollywood schedule alarmed many MMA pundits, who believed she was spreading herself too thin leading up to December’s showdown with bitter rival Miesha Tate.
Is she getting the proper training right now in Bulgaria (where Rousey’s currently filming)? Is she sleeping enough? Will she be too worn out when UFC 168 comes rolling around? Let’s not forget, Rousey is arguably the second-biggest name on the card, so she’ll also be getting pulled in every possible direction to hype the New Year’s Eve weekend show.
Fear not, Rousey fanboys and fangirls. UFC president Dana White says Rousey’s time on movie sets has rekindled her love for MMA and she’ll be ready to go when the cage door slams shut.
“With her, she keeps me in the loop on everything. According to her, she’s reinvigorated and this thing was like the best thing ever for her,” White said Thursday. “She was burnt [out from MMA], she was smoked – from the day she signed with the UFC, to all the work she had to do, ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ the list goes on and on.
“And I think her stint on ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ had a lot to do with the fact she was burning out. She says that trip [to Bulgaria] has been amazing for her. She says, ‘Don’t worry about me, I got this.’”
Talk is one thing, and we all know the “Rowdy” one can bump her gums with the best of ‘em, but actions always speak louder than words. Actually, pictures are worth a thousand words.
“You should see her right now,” White said of his most popular female fighter. “She sent me a picture, she weighs [141 pounds] right now. She fights at [135 pounds]. She’s lean, she’s ripped and she’s been training.”
Still, Rousey is expected to be done filming “Fast and Furious 7″ by mid-November. There has to be some concern for where she’ll be mentally and physically with such a hectic schedule.
UFC 168 takes place December 28 inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rousey and Tate co-headline the pay-per-view broadcast.

If you believe Fedor’s side of the story, White was being rude and disrespectful, so they were never able to complete a deal.

The UFC have been faced with the challenge of tying replace the star-power of former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar for almost two-years. This is a task which has proven to be up to this point impossible for the biggest MMA promotion in the world.
I suspect if you’re reading this you know amazing things happened. I will confirm that. This show was pretty insane. Dana White adamantly argued this was the best card he’s ever run, and people appear to be only vaguely disagreeing.…Read more →
According to every impartial fan inside Toyota Center in Houston and watching at home on pay-per-view, UFC president Dana White, and most importantly, the three judges sitting Octagon-side who were paid to score Saturday’s bout, Daniel Cormier took it to Roy Nelson (pictured) at UFC 166.
