Last year’s Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne is still searching for sponsorship.
Bayne has been driving the #60 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for Roush Fenway Racing, but this week his name is missing from the Bristol entry list. Roush entered Bayne in the first three races of the season without a sponsor, hoping to attract one. But so far, nothing.
Always an optimist though, Bayne feels like the impending NASCAR 'off-week' will help the team land a sponsor that will take them thru the remainder of 2012.
"I'd love to to run the full deal; that's my goal," Bayne said. "We've got to make sure we can get to Bristol and California first, and then we have two weeks off to try to work on it."
Roush's #60 car won the Nationwide Series Owners Championship last year, and has finished in the Top-5 in series points for eight-straight years. - Captain Thunder - www.CaptainThunderRacing.com
