When the Pirates season began, it seemed possible if not highly probable, that come July, players like Freddy Sanchez, Jack Wilson and Adam LaRoche would be traded. That scenario still might play out, however, what wasn’t expected was that players like Nate McLouth, Eric Hinske, Nyjer Morgan and Sean Burnett would be traded in June. By dealing the latter two to Washington today for Lastings Milledge and Joel Hanrahan, GM Neal Huntington left no doubt that he is fully committed to completely blowing up the roster.
