Double Coverage Football:
Colorado opened as a 38.5-point underdog against Oregon, so they're going to need all the help they can get to upset the Ducks this Saturday. They just got some from the Oregon training staff.
Running back De'Anthony Thomas, who had already accounted for 485 yards and 6 TDs through three games this season, injured his ankle on the opening kickoff of last Saturday's win against Cal. The Ducks aren't revealing any more about the injury than they have to, but Thomas has been wearing a boot this week and the team says he probably won't suit up against the Buffs.
The loss of Thomas makes a difference for the Ducks...maybe not a 38.5-point difference, but at least Colorado won't have to worry about this happening again:

College Football has been wondering if anyone can take down the mighty Crimson Tide of Alabama University. The same team that has won three of the last four BCS Championships and on track to win third in a row, a feat that has not been done since Army won three in a row in 1944-46. Who has the team, scheme on both offense and defense and the momentum to stop the streak? Here...

Everybody has a plan until you hit them in the mouth.
For the Ducks this weekend at Colorado, the keys are simple:
1. Create a sense of inevitability with a solid start. Establish an offensive rhythm and efficiency to take to Seattle next week in a pivotal road game.
2. Contain Paul Richardson. The Colorado wide receiver started the season with a pair of 200-yard games, and he...

WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Ducks head to Folsom Field with a streak of 16 straight wins in an opponents' stadium, the longest mark in the nation. The Buffaloes play at home for the first time in three weeks after a devastating flood hit the...
EUGENE - Two years ago the Ducks made the trip to Boulder with star running back LaMichael James and starting quarterback Darron Thomas sidelined. In their absence, the team didn't miss a beat, beating Colorado 45-2.
