What an absolutely fantastic week of random jerseys it was. Bacon Nation came strong and gave us one of the best crops in recent memory. As we declared earlier in the week when we dropped all of the jerseys from the weekend, every Thursday is Thursday Jerzday and we’ll be giving away a Bacon Sports Tecmo Bowl t-shirt to the best jersey pic that’s sent in from the past week. To enter all you’ve gotta do is snap a random jersey pic and tweet it to us @BaconSports or email it to In normal weeks some of the jerseys that were sent in would win and almost 80% of them would place in the top three. Unfortunately they ran into a buzzsaw in the form of a Brett Favre Chicago Cubs jersey plus a few other very strong gems. On top of that Bacon Sports is the gold standard for hoopsters and random jersey sightings so you’ve gotta expect that everyone is going to be going hard in the paint. Here’s what the voting looked like for the week: First Place – Brett Favre Chicago Cubs jersey (above). This jersey was so amazing that we did an entire article on it. You can check it out here. Congrats to Victor Marinier on winning the week. Second Place – Caleb Hanie Chicago Bears jersey (via @Zack Pearson). The fact that there’s even one of these in circulation blows my mind. Third Place – Eddie Vedder Chicago Cubs jersey (via Ryan Mackman). What is wrong with people from Chicago? What ever happened to just rocking a Matt Forte or Mark Prior jersey? Regardless, I love it. Keep snapping those random jerseys pics, use #randomjersey, and maybe next week will be the one that you take home the title!   Make sure to check out our Youtube channel,  follow us on Twitter @BaconSports and like us on Facebook. Bacon + Beer + Sports =  the Greatest Celebration to ever hit Chicago. Get ready to have your mind blown!
