The Detroit Pistons have opened what they hope to be a new era of Pistons basketball this offseason, as they were aggressive enough in the draft and free agency to drastically improve their team in more ways than one. By adding pieces such as Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings, as well as bringing back long time Piston, Chauncey Billups, Detroit has thrust themselves into playoff contention. Not only have they improved what looks to be an outstanding starting five, they’ve too advanced their bench seemingly miles ahead of where they were last season.
