The Dawgs defeated Alcorn State last night 23-6. The Dawgs had 22 hits, 3 of those being of the dinger variety, scoring 23 runs and it couldn't have come at a better time with SEC play kicking off this weekend against the hated Hillbilly's from UT!
The Bulldogs (13-5) were led by freshmen Hunter Cole, who went 4-for-5 with a home run and four RBI, and Justin Bryan who smashed a grand slam. Meanwhile, Alcorn State (3-13) was highlighted by Rodney Warren who went 4-for-5, including a home run and Jann Butler added a three-run blast.[Georgia Dogs]
