Former NBA star turned diplomat, Dennis Rodman is asking his buddy Kim Jung Un for a favor. Rodman is using his friendship with the North Korean leader in hopes to negotiate the release of Kenneth Bae, a Korean-American man sentenced to 15 years of hard labor in North Korea. Bae is  a 44-year-old from Washington state who friends describe as a devout Christian and tour operator based in China who traveled frequently to North Korea to feed orphans. North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said the American entered the country with a disguised identity and was arrested in November. Last week North Korea’s  Supreme Court sentenced Bae for unspecified “hostile acts” against the state and a punishment of 15 years of hard labor. The Unites States has demanded the immediate release of Bae and suspect North Korea is using him as a bargaining chip in their constant strife over their nuclear program and recent saber-rattling.
