The World Series will run through Los Angeles this season, if we’re to believe the Las Vegas odds. Bovada.lv has updated its World Series odds, and both the Dodgers and Angels have jumped to the top of the list. The Hollywood inhabitants are spending like drunken sailors this offseason, with the two teams inking arguably the two best free agents on the market. The Dodgers made the first big splash of the winter when they signed free-agent pitcher Zack Greinke. The Dodgers reeled Greinke in with a six-year deal worth a reported $147 million. He’ll join a club that already has some big-name, big-money players like Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, Andre Ethier and so on and so on. What does that get the Dodgers? It gets them the distinction of being the offseason favorites to win the World Series, according to Bovada. The Dodgers check in with 15-2 odds to win the 2013 title. Of course, the Dodgers aren’t alone when it come to pricey L.A. upgrades. The Angels may have lost out on Greinke, but it’s not like they’ve sat on their hands this offseason, either. The Angels went out and surprised everyone on Thursday by signing Josh Hamilton a reported five-year deal worth $125 million. He’ll join a Halos lineup that is already stacked with the likes of Albert Pujols and Mike Trout. They’ve got their share of starting pitching, too, with Jered Weaver and C.J. Wilson in that rotation. All of that gives the Angels 8-1 odds to win it all. The National and Tigers follow closely behind. The AL East is represented among the top 10 teams, with the Yankees and Blue Jays both at 12-1. The Red Sox are a little farther down the list, checking in at 25-1.
