My Sports Rumors:
Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is having one busy summer. Drummond just finished up a stint with the Pistons summer league team and now he’s off to another camp. Drummond will be participating in the Team USA mini-camp from July 22nd to 25th and he can’t wait to get started. He’s out to prove something, to prove that he belongs on the Team USA roster in 2016.
Drummond, asked if he is trying to position himself to make the men’s national team in time for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, said he is thinking in a more accelerated time frame.
“It ain’t no long term, I’m trying to make it now,” Drummond said. “I’m not going there for fun. I’m going there to try to take somebody’s spot. I wouldn’t use this as just a workout. I’m going there to play as hard as I can.” (MLive)
I love the attitude Drummond is bringing to that camp. Even if he doesn’t make the team he’ll be a huge asset because they’ve got a guy in there willing to work his ass off and help make the ove

This is one of those summer trade rumors that is just floated out there because there is nothing else to talk about.
I am sure a lot of teams would like Rondo, but wouldn’t give up a rising star of their franchise for him, so exactly what we are talking about here?
The Boston Globe says the Celtics would want center Andre Drummond and the Pistons say they won’t give him up. That...
Adding a star point guard like Rajon Rondo would certainly put an exclamation point on Joe Dumars' rebuilding of the Pistons.
But the price is currently much too high.
The Boston Globe reported this weekend that the Pistons have talked to Boston about Rondo, trying to tempt the Celtics with some combination of Brandon Knight, the expiring contracts of Charlie Villanueva and...
Yesterday, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond decided to show off his best Tracy McGrady impression to the Internet realm on Instagram video.
Drummond got the help of a trampoline basketball hoop to pull off the slam but it is still impressive nevertheless:
The hot rumor over the weekend was the Detroit Pistons offering up G Brandon Knight and some expiring contracts for Boston point guard Rajon Rondo.
Here’s a excerpt from Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe who was one of the first to break the story:
The Pistons are quite interested in Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, but they don’t have a package to offer that would attract...
The Detroit Pistons have officially announced the signings of Italian forward Luigi Datome and guard Will Bynum.
The Pistons agreed about a week ago to a $3.5 million, two-year contract with Datome, who has played professionally in Italy since 2003. The 25-year-old Datome is 6-foot-8 and has been a member of the Italian national team since 2007.
Datome was named Italian League...
Knight is only remembered for getting dunked on, but is actually a good young point guard
The rumors linking Rajon Rondo to the Detroit Pistons are not going anywhere. After all, Detroit as a destination makes as much sense as any for Rondo. They signed Rondo's good friend Josh Smith earlier this month, and have a young core seemingly ready to make an impact on the Eastern Conference...
As we continue our Metta World Peace-palooza here on That NBA Lottery Pick, Mr. World Peace decided to wax poetic regarding the last time that he was a free agent.
The year was 2009 and Metta was trying to decide his next location after playing with the Houston Rockets and apparently, he wanted to play for an Eastern Conference team that he had a history with according to reports...
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Pistons have re-signed guard Will Bynum and signed Italian League MVP Luigi Datome.Bynum, a six-year...
The Detroit Pistons finished the 2013 Orlando Pro Summer League at 2-3. We got to see the continued development of Andre Drummond and top pick Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Three guys who stood out to me:
1.) Andre Drummond
Drummond was a man amongst boys in Summer League. It was almost unfair. In the Summer League opener he had 12 points, 16 rebounds, five steals, and tied an Orlando...
The Rajon Rondo-to-Detroit rumors simply will not die right now, and the Boston Globe reported over the weekend that the Pistons are prepared to offer Brandon Knight and an expiring contract (Rodney Stuckey or Charlie Villanueva) for Rondo.
“That wouldn’t be nearly enough,” according to the Globe (via PistonPowered.com).

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
The Pistons are quite interested in Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, but they don’t have a package to offer that would attract president of basketball operations Danny...
