Former Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles with the third overall pick in the NFL Draft less than 24 hours ago, but he has already given the Philly media a glimpse into the type of guy that he is. Most rookies focus on trying to say and do the right things when they first come into the NFL, but Johnson felt the urge to screw with Jeff McLane...
Day 2 of the 2013 NFL Draft offers several possibilities for Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles. There are numerous players still on the board that could be potential targets and trading down is still an option as well.
First, let’s go though some of the top targets the Eagles should and/or will likely consider…
My first choice is Florida International safety Jonathan Cyprien...
Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly added eight selections with his first NFL Draft. Kelly’s debut draft class features three offensive players and five defensive players, all who fit specifically under Kelly’s vision for the future of the organization.
The First-Round of the 2013 NFL draft is finally over, and it’s time to compare what the teams in the 2013 NFC East draft class did to become the division winner in 2013. The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off the East with the 4th overall pick.
4. Philadelphia Eagles select: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Lane Johnson proves uncertainty with Jason Peters. Peters’ ruptured Achilles...
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly stated during his press conference after selecting OT Lane Johnson with his first round pick that Oklahoma’s strength and conditioning coach said it would take “a cheeseburger and a week” to transition Johnson from DE to OT…
Kelly was asked if Johnson’s versatility and up-tempo experience was a factor in the pick when he stated...
In Day Two of the NFL Draft, Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles did proceed as some anticipated in the second round by drafting a quarterback. Instead, in the 2nd round (35th overall pick) they drafted Stanford tight end Zach Ertz, and in the third (67th overall) added LSU defensive tackle Bennie Logan to their ranks.

Kelly is all too...
Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson is the newest bird in the Philadelphia Eagles’ nest. Chip Kelly’s first draft pick as Eagles head coach should be a staple on the offensive line for the next decade.
Hopefully, there will be some pro bowls in his future as well.
Johnson, 6′ 6″ 303 lbs, is the most athletic OT in the draft and was the third ranked tackle by virtually all...
Chip Kelly’s first draft as Eagles head coach would you rate it a success? Out of the gate with the fourth overall pick they addressed one of their biggest needs, the offensive line. Taking offensive tackle Lane Johnson who should have an instant impact on a line that was, horrible last season. Kelly’s second pick adding another tight end Zach Ertz, a bit of a surprise, but he...
NewsTags: Earl WolffPhiladelphia EaglesThe Eagles added some depth to the safety position in the fifth round, selecting safety Earl Wolff from N.C. Sate.
This is the first pick that the Eagles have made that won’t be a lock to make the 53-man roster. Wolff will need to compete with Nate Allen, Kurt Coleman, and Colt Anderson for one of [...](Read more...)
First Round: Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
Philly must have been pretty scared when Miami traded up ahead of them, but they got their man anyways. Johnson is the third best OT in the draft, but I think he has the most potential out of the three. I think Chip Kelly can get a lot out of him. He will be a staple on that line for years to come. I think Johnson was one of the top...

With the 2013 NFL Draft almost in the books, I think it’s safe to start diagnosing and criticizing Howie Roseman and Co.’s 2013 draft class. After all, the latter is what we do best here in Philadelphia isn’t it?
I’m not going to cover every draft pick in this article, I just want to talk about the most compelling three picks.
Let’s get right to it.
