It took a little longer than we expected, but former Louisville forward Earl Clark finally turned into a solid player in the NBA. Clark struggled and played very few minutes in his first three years in the league with the Phoenix Suns and the Orlando Magic. Prior to the 2012-13 season Clark was dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers as part of the blockbuster trade that sent NBA All Star Dwight Howard from Orlando to L.A. Clark spent the first part of the season on the bench, playing behind Pau Gasol and Antawn Jamison. When Gasol got hurt in January, Clark finally received the opportunity he had been waiting for and he absolutely made the most of it. In his fourth year in the NBA, Clark was arguably one of the most improved players in the league.
