PLAYERS: Earl Clark
TEAMS: Los Angeles Lakers
Earl Clark has been one of the more popular names in the NBA over the past month. After playing very briefly in his first three seasons in the NBA, Clark has finally gotten an opportunity this season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Since becoming a starter for the Lakers, Clark has been an integral piece to the veteran team. The Lakers have won five of their last six games with Clark averaging 12 points and 8 rebounds. Clark will likely be a hot commodity following the 2013 season. While other teams may be able to sign him to a longer and more lucrative deal, Clark says he’d rather stay with the Lakers. They’ll be able to sign Clark as an unrestricted free agent even though they are already well over the salary cap next season. “This is my first team that gave me an opportunity. I love the guys here,” Clark said. “The organization and the style of play fits me. I really want to stay here.” I’ve never been a big fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, but they’re starting to be much more tolerab...

How Much Did Going To The Lakers Devalue Dwight Howard”s Free Agency?

Dwight Howard should have picked another team, a team that didn’t have a Kobe on it. A team that  needed a guy like Howard to be a leader. A team where  his talents could have shinned. Recently I read an article stating that Howard wants to avoid the circus. Really? If so, then why did he pick L.A. as his destination? He should have known every move he and his Lakers teammates...

Mike D’Antoni Says There’s A “Sniveling Rat” In the Lakers Organization

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a big win last night against the Brooklyn Nets. With rumors floating that Mike D’antoni was not happy with [...]

Benched Pau Gasol ponders his Lakers future

Gasol's Lakers future is, most likely, in a ton of jeopardy at the moment The 2012-13 season has been a disaster in many ways for the Los Angeles Lakers. First off, and most prevalent, is their record of 23-26 which is awful by Lakers standards and is completely not indicative of how talented they actually are. Secondly, they traded for Dwight Howard AND Steve Nash...

These Lakers are Starting to Believe

It wasn't that long ago (2 weeks to be exact) when Laker fans could only guess what type of team garbed in Lakers jersey will come out of the locker room. There are nights when the Lakers are so engaged that it looks like they're starting to come around. And then there are other games where the Lakers are so much in disarray that their fans could do nothing but sit quietly...

This season has been a year of tribulation for the Lakers (22-26) and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. Howard is still feeling a lot of soreness on his right shoulder after...

Lakers Escape Another Close One in Detroit

Photo courtesy of Ezra Shaw, Getty ImagesThe Lakers must go through an examination of conscience before every game to ask themselves, “How can we make this game difficult to win? What can we do to push ourselves to the very edge?” It is, in a word, maddening. Against Phoenix, they lost a 13-point lead late in the game and gave away a win that was absolutely theirs to lose. In...
