Ed Reed and Ray Lewis Hugging after a win (AP Photo) One of the biggest story lines heading into Super Bowl XLVII is that Ray Lewis will play his final game in the NFL after 17 great seasons. He himself said that it would be his last ride, and has put on a few impressive performances in the playoffs to help get his team to where they are. Many think that the announcement of his retirement has helped the team play at another level, getting them to the big dance. But according to teammate Ed Reed, we shouldn’t be sold on Ray hanging up the cleats, via NFL.com’s Chris Wesseling. “Long-time teammate Ed Reed warned reporters gathered in New Orleans not to be “so sure” that Super Bowl XLVII will indeed be the future Hall of Famer’s last game” Wrote Wesseling. Reed also added “Maybe he’ll play 10 games next year”. Will Lewis hang ‘em up? Or will this majestic run give him the thirst to give it one more go-around? I think that Sunday is the last time we’ll see Ray on the field as a player, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him stick it out for one more season, although ten games isn’t a full season.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Editor-in-Chief – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK The post Ed Reed: Don’t be so sure on Lewis’ Retirement appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
