An Illinois school district is facing heat after their decision to ban a 70-year-old woman with Alzheimer's disease from watching her grandson play basketball.According to the Belleville News-Democrat, Kathy Eisemann was blacklisted from attending Belleville West High School games after she allegedly swung her purse at two people who chastized her during a game in December.Eisemann, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's, has suffered two strokes and uses a wheelchair to move herself around."She can't even go and watch, because they won't let her in there," said Kriss Foster, daughter of the elderly woman. "It's aggravating. Grandma loves to go and show her support."Assistant Superintendent Brian Mentzer calls the ordeal "unfortunate" and a "difficult situation."No formal charges have been pressed against Eisemann for the December incident. The district plans to allow Eisemann to attend her grandson's baseball games in the spring, but she continues to be barred from any basketball games. On Tuesday, her 18-year-old grandson was honored by the school as part of senior night. Unfortunately, Eisemann wasn't permitted to go."She just wants to go watch her grandson," Foster said.Via
