Here’s your quick wrap-up of today’s action in the English Premier League.

Aston Villa 2-2 QPR

Djibril Cissé’s 12th minute goal was a dream start of the French forward’s return to the EPL. A Stephen Warnock own-goal gave QPR a 2-0 lead, but they couldn’t hold it. Villa’s Darren Bent pulled one back before halftime and Charles N’Zogbia equalized in the 79th minute.

Blackburn 0-2 Newcastle

A Scott Dan own-goal and a penalty kick save by Tim Krul on David Dunn was all the Magpies needed to take three points off Blackburn. Gabriel Obertan’s 92nd minute goal was just icing on the cake. With the Bolton draw, Blackburn will remain in the relegation zone for the time being.

Bolton 0-0 Arsenal

There’s not much to say really other than it’s a huge point for Bolton. Both team’s had some chances and it wasn’t the worst scoreless draw to watch, though I doubt that will console Arsenal fans in the least. Robin Van Persie has Arsenal’s best chance in the 80th minute but his shot hit the crossbar.

Fulham 1-1 West Brom

Clint Dempsey struck again for his 10th goal of the season but a late goal from West Brom’s Somen Tchoyi helped the Bagies earn a point at Craven Cottage.

Sunderland 3-0 Norwich

The Black Cats revolution under Martin O’Neill continued today as Sunderland took apart Norwich with goals from Fraizer Campbel, Stephane Sessegnon and Daniel Ayala. The win moves Sunderland up to eighth in the table.
