NFL Trade Rumors:
The Falcons made a surprising decision to release DE Ray Edwards early last week. Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported on Sunday that the decision to release Edwards had to do more to with his reluctance to join a “team gathering” following Week 10′s loss to the Saints, per Mark Sessler of NFL.com.
Falcons head coach Mike Smith reportedly asked the team to gather in the locker room, but Edwards “sat alone along the wall and ignored the request.” Smith asked him to join the rest of the team multiple times, but refused to do so.
With no sacks this season and just 3.5 last year, Edwards hasn’t contributed much to Atlanta and his release likely won’t affect much for the Falcons, who have John Abraham rushing the passer anyway.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan hopes he never has to endure another five-interception game.
It sounds simple, but Ryan breaks down last week's narrow victory over Arizona as a learning experience that could have ended much worse.

There are still six games remaining in the 2012 NFL season but the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are already turning doubters into believers. The new coaching staff, free agent acquisitions, and draft picks the team...

In Week 10, the Atlanta Falcons saw their chances at a perfect season dashed by the rival New Orleans Saints. Following the defeat, Head Coach Mike Smith called a team huddle.
Apparently, defensive end Ray Edwards didn’t get the memo that he was a part of the team, as it reportedly took him three requests and an ordering from his teammates to join the huddle. NFL Network contributor...
I’m not going to say the Atlanta Falcons are a bad team. At 9-1 they deserve more respect than that, but they may be the least convincing 9-1 team I’ve seen in awhile.
The offense remains explosive, but the team lost five picks to Arizona at home last weekend in a game that shouldn’t have been as close as four points. The run game is nonexistent and now news has leaked that...
