Found June 14, 2013 on Fox Sports:
The Atlanta Falcons have signed cornerback Robert Alford, a second-round pick from Southeastern Louisiana. Alford was the second of two cornerbacks selected by the Falcons in the draft. First-round pick Desmond Trufant remains unsigned. Alford had 10 interceptions and started 31 games at Southeastern Louisiana. He also returned punts and kickoffs in 2012, taking advantage of his 4.39 speed in the 40-yard dash. He impressed the Falcons with his performance against major college players in the Senior Bowl. The only other remaining unsigned pick from the Falcons' draft is quarterback Sean Renfree, a seventh-round selection from Duke.

Rejoice Falcons fans, another draft pick is signed, sealed, delivered and ready for camp. Our last article was about first round pick Desmond Trufant and this one is about the man with who he will be forever tied, second round pick Robert Alford.  On Friday, the Falcons came to terms with the speedy Alford on a four-year deal. At OTA's, Alford has been getting reps...

Report: Banks' accuser ordered to pay 2.6M

A woman who falsely accused Long Beach Poly football standout Brian Banks of rape in 2002 was ordered to pay 2.6 million to the Long Beach Beach Unified School District. Wanetta Gibson sued the district for lax security during the trial and received 750,000 from a 1.5 million settlement. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered her to pay 1.5 million, plus an additional 1.1...

Why Are “Experts” Sleeping On The Atlanta Falcons?

I thought the second guessing was over. After a couple of years where we questioned the mettle of Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons because of a lack of success in the playoffs, they finally won a game in the postseason and came within four points of playing in the Super Bowl last season. Not only do the Falcons return the core of that team from a year ago, but they also upgraded...

Steven Jackson Will Be a Key Player for the 2013 Atlanta Falcons

Yesterday, I discussed the type of role running back Steven Jackson could have with the Falcons. Jackson hopes to show the world that he still has something left in the tank and will help add physicality to the Falcons ground attack that was lacking a year ago. The more the Falcons get from Jackson, the better served they will be in 2013. I compared Jackson potentially in 2013 to...

Banks was convicted of rape, and Gibson sued the Long Beach Unified School District for being unsafe and won a...

Falcons OTAs: Day 7 Report

The media once again had access to the first of four days of the Falcons third and final offseason team activities. The Falcons will have a mandatory minicamp starting next week on June 18: As mentioned earlier, Desmond Trufant returned to practice today. He and fellow rookie Robert Alford were able to get extra reps due to the excused absence of veteran cornerback Asante Samuel...
