The Chicago Bears will take on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in a game featuring two teams with quarterbacks which suffered concussions last week. While the Bears have ruled QB Jay Cutler out for week 11, replacing him with veteran Jason Campbell, the San Francisco 49ers appear poised to have Alex Smith under center on Sunday. On Friday, Smith practiced in non-contact drills for the third consecutive day.
Smith has been cleared by an independent neurologist and will be monitored for the remainder of the week leading up to the Niners Monday night matchup against the Bears. Smith will have to complete a follow-up visit on Sunday before being officially allowed to play on Monday night. In case Smith is not allowed to play, second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been taking reps with the first team this week.
Fantasy Implications- News of whether or not Smith will start on Monday night might not be known until after the early games on Sunday get underway. Even if Smith g...

No long-term answer in Niners' QB debate
Even as Alex Smith takes the first snap for the 49ers Monday night in Chicago, the debate over who should be the starting quarterback is far from over. Following a week where a concussion led to discussion, if not controversy...
