Tom Brady said recently the only butt he likes touching, other than his wife's, is Koppens.
In other news around the National Football League today, the New England Patriots have re-signed long-time center Dan Koppen to a two-year $6 million deal, to keep him as a Patriot, likely for the remainder of his career.
Koppen, was a former fifth-round draft pick of the Patriots back in 2003 and has been their starting center ever since, starting 121 games, including three Super Bowls. He was also named to the Pro Bowl back in 2007.This past season was the toughest of Koppen’s career as he missed all but one game due to injury.
It was unclear if the Patriots wanted to bring back Koppen because the team already had center/guard Dan Connolly, who filled in last season while Koppen was out, however depth issues along the interior offensive line, must have given Head Coach Bill Belichick the motivation necessary to keep the long-time center in the fold for the next two years.

Dan Koppen returning to Patriots
Good news from Adam Schefter today as Tom Brady’s long time center will be back in the mix for 2012. I’m not sure how it will play out between Koppen and his 2011 replacement Dan Connolly but really it doesn’t matter at this point. Injuries are a huge part of the game and you can never have too many good, experienced offensive lineman to protect...
The Patriots really need interior line help. Brian Waters is 35, Dan Connolly is mediocre and Logan Mankins had ACL surgery after the Super Bowl and is no sure thing going forward. Koppen, their starting center in 2010, will definitely help fill the need. He should be an upgrade over Connolly at center and Connolly will be freed up to provide much needed depth at guard, his natural...

The Patriots tight end admitted that he was in awe of Tom Brady while looking across at the QB while in the huddle during his rookie season.
Women's lacrosse beat Cal 16-6 Saturday in the first "Red Bandanna #19 Game." The goal was to honor Welles Crowther the former BC men's lacrosse player who lost his life on September 11, 2001. It was a nice win and hopefully the start of a nice tradition. Baseball had a chance to upset No. 1 Florida State but couldn't hold the lead in the 9th.Dan Koppen will...
The story of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird has gone to Broadway, where producers are hoping the same theater buffs who turned out for a show on Vince Lombardi will want to see a rivalry in short shorts. Magic/Bird has taken one of the greatest rivalry in sports and put it on stage, and of all the rivalries they could have chosen, it's not hard to see why Bird and Johnson were...
Looks like the Patriots are going to have to change their draft board and what holes they need to fill, as they now have some more depth on the offensive line, but lost some linebacker depth.
The team reported Friday that it’s bringing back 9-year veteran Dan Koppen, signing him to a 2-year/$6 million contract. This move will create some competition with the recently re-signed...
