I’m the real Slim Shady Juan… 2012 Recap:  Although he missed 4 games of the 2012 season with a concussion, McCoy did not live up to his insane 20 TD season in 2011 (not that I expected him to) prior to his injury.  He did however go for 200/840/2 (4.2 YPC), and added 54/373/3 receiving (6.9 YPC) while playing 61.7% of the Eagles’ offensive snaps.  Although his receiving numbers were up from 2011, his 12.6 FPG and #11 ranking among RBs were down big from 2011 (18.8 FPG, #2).  He also lost 4 fumbles, after only losing 1 in 2011.  The way he carries the ball so far away from his body, it’s amazing he doesn’t fumble more.  It didn’t help that LT Jason Peters missed the entire season.  What’s Changed:  Chip Kelly.  The unknown.  I believe Chip will install an offense similar to the one that Belichick did last season, as he took some of Kelly’s principles and ran the most plays in the entire NFL.  This could mean a ton of touches for McCoy and Bryce Brown.  If OTAs are any indication, the Eagles plan on running a quick tempo offense that will run a massive amount of plays each week.  Now, any of the 3 QBs (Vick, Foles, Barkley) could start and that’s an issue that must be taken into consideration, but hopefully we get a clear indication early in training camp.  The Eagles will get back LT Jason Peters and they also drafted Lane Johnson to play RT.  This will provide a major improvement over the 2011 version.  Outlook:  McCoy has top level talent as he can provide burst in small areas, has break away speed, and lateral quickness that resembles Barry Sanders at times.  He has an incredible skill set that Kelly and his coaching staff should recognize and take full advantage of.  It was good to see that McCoy played through the final 2 games of the 2012 season after missing a month with a concussion, meaning he fully recovered.  He took his time and came back healthy, which should bode well for him going forward.  McCoy has played through other injuries before, but we don’t need a Jahvid Best situation on our hands.  I fell as though McCoy will get 20-25 touches a game and Bryce Brown will get 10-12, as they will attempt to run that many plays if all goes according to plan or what I think the plan is.  If you are picking towards the end of the first round and McCoy falls to you, swoop him up without thinking twice.  LeSean McCoy Hangs With Jay Z LeSean McCoy and His Little Man Hang Out

Would Eagles Be Interested if Jairus Byrd Becomes Available Via Trade?

There was no greater position that the Philadelphia Eagles needed to upgrade this offseason than in the defensive secondary.  That was obviously the case as the team signed two new starting corners and two players who could potentially be the new starters at safety. I say “potential” new starters at safety because, while the tandem of Kenny Phillips and Patrick Chung would...

Michael Vick vs. Nick Foles: Red Zone Efficiency

In light of the Philadelphia Eagles QB competition between Michael Vick and Nick Foles, one area in particular that is good to evaluate is how they perform in the red zone. Chip Kelly is high on quarterbacks who are efficient, which means being accurate, smart and taking care of the football.  Being efficient in the red zone is obviously a huge key and can be the difference between...

Philadelphia Eagles: Week 1 Preview @ Washington Redskins

In two weeks, the journey to Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey officially begins when rookies report to training camp. Unlike years past, the Philadelphia Eagles’ camp will have a much different feel to it. For the last decade the team made the trek up the Northeast Extension to Lehigh University, led by head coach Andy Reid. This year however...

Michael Vick A Possible “Roster Casualty?”

For his Monday mailbag segment, CSN Philadelphia’s Eagles Insider Geoff Mosher fielded a question about which players could be preseason causalities. When he got to the quarterback position, his opinion on Michael Vick‘s job security was quite blunt. Mosher wrote that Vick could be expendable if new head coach Chip Kelly is sold on the young Nick Foles and rookie Matt Barkley...

Will Michael Vick want out if Nick Foles wins starting job?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is scheduled to make $3.5 million this season no matter what and is already collected a $3.5 million signing bonus earlier this offseason. The question that ProFootballTalk.com asked is whether Vick will want to be traded or released if he loses the starting job to Nick Foles or even Matt Barkley during the preseason?  Another question...

Matt Barkley Also Tied the Knot This Weekend

We like to keep things simple Juan… Former USC Quarterback and current Philadelphia Eagles backup QB Matt Barkley and his girlfriend Brittany Langdon were married this past weekend. “Wedding Day! Beyond blessed, thankful and excited to marry the girl of my dreams and my best friend. Praise the Lord!” the 22-year-old USC grad tweeted. Congrats to Barkley, now all he has to do...

Eagles rookie QB Barkley married

It looks like wedding season is really heating up. RG3 and his college sweetheart just tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Colorado. Kevin Durant popped the question to WNBA star Monica Wright over the weekend (and she gladly accepted.) Dion Phaneuf literally married "The Girl Next Door," exchanging vows with actress Elisha Cuthbert . And now Philadelphia Eagles rookie...

Michael Jackson's "Lean Move" would blow away an NFL defense...

Maybe I'm just star-struck right now, but I have watched over 8 hours of video on Michael Jackson's infamous "Lean Move" over the past few days...and I'm still trying to figure it out. All I know for sure is, if you could translate that move to the football field, your wide receivers would be "Dangerous"... Imagine setting up a target...

Aaron Donald is one of 75 players recognized as a preseason candidate for the prestigious honor named after the legendary Chuck Bednarik, who starred at the University of Pennsylvania and with the Philadelphia Eagles.
