If parking lot incidents in two different cities on Sunday are any indication, stupid behavior does not discriminate between NFL fan bases. Late Sunday, photos and video surfaced of Houston Texans fans burning a Matt Schaub jersey in the Reliant Stadium parking lot. In that incident, at least nobody was harmed. The same can’t be said for this fight outside Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Neighboring tailgaters for the Cowboys-Chargers game got in an argument over whatever it is drunk tailgaters get in arguments over, which led to a slap in the face. Things escalated from there, as the Dez Bryant jersey-wearing slapee proceeded to have a beer bottle shattered over his head. His buddy, wearing a Chargers jersey, was also the victim of a cheap shot bottle smash to the dome, after which cooler heads seemed to prevail. Also injured: some guy who really, really, really wants you to see the cut on his arm. Yeah, we got it, bro. [BSO] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

After a horrible performance this week, Matt Schaub deleted his twitter account

After giving the Seattle Seahawks hope on Sunday, a handful of Texans fans destroyed a Matt Schaub jersey with fire.  Well I guess Matt Schaub could sense the hatred. Schaub deleted his twitter account per Nick Wright of 610 sportsradio in Houston. Nick Wright of 610 SportsRadio in Houston passes along the word that he’s noticed Schaub’s […]

Report: Texans Could Get Of QB Matt Schaub’s Contract Next Season

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Houston Texans have the ability to get out from underneath the five-year, $66.15 million contract they signed QB Matt Schaub to last season. Florio’s source informed him that Houston has already paid Schaub $22 million in 2012 and his cap hit becomes “somewhat manageable after the 2013 season.“ The Texans could designate...

Texans Fans Burning Matt Schaub’s Jersey After Loss to Seahawks (Photo)

I think burning a jersey is stupid on all levels, I don’t even care if your QB is Blaine Gabbert, but fan is short for fanatic. 3 straight games with a pick 6 & Texans fans respond RT @javi5705: @LanceZierlein this is happening a at tailgate . pic.twitter.com/cCKGVLYPAw — Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) September 29, 2013 @BlkSportsOnline look how ugly it's getting...

Houston restaurant takes shot at Matt Schaub

It’s safe to say that Matt Schaub is the new Tony Romo. The Houston Texans quarterback has thrown six interceptions through four games this season, including a pick-six in three straight games. Two of the interceptions returned for touchdowns came late in the fourth quarter (first against Tennessee and then against Seattle). Both pick-sixes resulted […]

Texans’ Fans Burn Matt Schaub Jersey

In what has become a universal symbol for disgust with a player, Houston fans have now begun to burn the jersey of their starting quarterback, Matt Schaub. Thanks to our friends at BlackSportsOnline for this one, and with it I can’t help but laugh. Forget that Schaub has thrown a pick-six in 3 games, in terms of consistency at the QB level Matt Schaub has done little to deserve...

Richard Sherman Pick 6 off Matt Schaub (Video)

Matt Schaub went YOLO pass late in the game and Richard Sherman took it to the house. The announcer hit a classic “he’s got followers and not just on twitter!”

Houston Restaurant Offers Matt Schaub Pick 6 Special (Photo)

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub has thrown a pick 6 in his last three games, with the last most notably leading to an overtime loss against the Seahawks. One Houston area restaurant has trolled Schaub in the most clever way…a burger pick 6 special. Cold World… No, this isn’t at Richard Sherman’s house. It’s at a Houston area restaurant. pic.twitter.com/lo32Cg4kBS...

Matt Schaub Jersey Burn by Texans Fans Is Almost As Pitiful As Richard Sherman Interception That Provoked It (Video)

Houston Texans fans are understandably upset at Matt Schaub. The quarterback, whose arrival in Houston in 2007 appeared to be the piece the Texans needed to get themselves over the hump, is again failing to fulfill expectations with another middling season. The Texans are 2-2, and Schaub has thrown eight touchdowns against six interceptions, none more egregious than the pick that...

Matt Schaub’s Twitter Account Mysteriously Vanishes as Texans Struggle

Colin Kaepernick responded to his critics in an interesting way last week, favoriting critical tweets as motivation. Matt Schaub is apparently taking a very differant approach to the Twitticism. Schaub’s Twitter account has mysteriously, and maybe conveniently, vanished in recent days, as Nick Wright of 610 SportsRadio in Houston first noted. The Texan’s quarterback’s @MSchaub8...

The Texans need to start TJ Yates now

I’m sorry Texans fans, but you cannot let a 20-3 lead going into the third quarter. Matt Schaub is a veteran quarterback and he made a stupid rookie mistake that cost him the game yesterday. When getting rushed late in the game Schaub elects to throw a floater in the air to the flats. The […]

Rough year so far for some top QBs

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By BARRY WILNER AP Pro Football Writer NFL quarterbacks can be broken into three groups: elite, good and ''can we find somebody else?'' That last group is growing considering what has gone on with the Buccaneers, Browns, Raiders and Jets already. Most troublesome, however, are the recent meltdowns by some quality passers who seem to take huge...
