As it’s hockey season you’ll want to keep up with your Chicago Blackhawks and it’s not as easy right now as it was in June during the Stanley Cup run. During the NHL postseason, there wasn’t much else going on in the world of sports; certainly not locally. November is a completely different story. This is a huge busy time of the year for sports. And if you’re Chicago Blackhawks centric, these five Twitter accounts are all Chicago Blackhawks centric. So follow! You’ll notice I have no official accounts on this list. I’ve found that in the world of sports, 9 times out of ten official accounts are very vanilla, corporate and boring. The L.A. Kings are anything but! Obviously, they’re the exception. They tweet their propaganda like anyone else. But they’re also very funny at times because they have a marketing rep doing it, not a PR rep. 1. Second City Hockey, the Chicago Blackhawks blog for SB Nation We start here because this is one of the best accounts that is Chicago Blackhawks material most of the time Let’s all point and laugh as the Panthers ended their 9 game losing streak at the expense of the Ducks. — Second City Hockey (@2ndCityHockey) November 13, 2013   How many times has Hitchcock been told that Tim Horton isn’t a hockey player when filling out potential rosters for Team Canada? — Second City Hockey (@2ndCityHockey) November 13, 2013 2. Chicago Now Community Manager Jimmy Greenfield The avatar says it all Life would suck without craft beer. Can you imagine a world where Bud Light mattered? — Jimmy Greenfield (@jcgreenx) November 13, 2013   You just know Greg Schiano is the Richie Incognito of NFL coaches. — Jimmy Greenfield (@jcgreenx) November 12, 2013 3. The Fourth Period’s Tab Bamford He’s best known for breaking the story of Ohio State firing Jim Tressel first ahead of anyone, but obviously he’s a Chicago Blackhawks guy first and foremost; just look at his profile. It’s kind of like a reverse of me, I’m known for breaking a Chicago Blackhawks firing story first, yet I like college football the most. Funny the way it is. Well, maybe I’m known for a Chicago Bears story first and foremost, if I’m known for anything. Which clearly I’m not. Except in certain parts of New Zealand. I can’t even walk down the street in New Zealand without being mobbed. From this summer: Why #Blackhawks Steve Larmer should have his #28 retired in Chicago & be in the #HHOF http://t.co/hcBb80lbrR — Tab Bamford (@The1Tab) November 12, 2013   2 more years of Shaw @ $2M per is a fantastic deal for the #Blackhawks — Tab Bamford (@The1Tab) November 12, 2013 4. Yahoo/Chicago Now/Red Eye’s Scott King Comedian and ne’er do well. The owner and proprietor of Hawk Crazy is a funny and informative follow. He knows the Chicago Blackhawks as well as anyone, and no one gets better photographs from home games at the United Center. Have an article on Yahoo Sports about last night’s dumb #Blackhawks fans and Adam Pardy: Please RT! http://t.co/4rR9y8sBkk — Scott King (@ScottKingMedia) November 7, 2013   @PaulMBanks Putting the helmet on is funny, but that guy is a douche and his wife stinks. — Scott King (@ScottKingMedia) November 7, 2013 5. NBC Chicago’s Bears and Chicago Blackhawks blogger James Neveau You definitely need to read his NBC blog Madhouse Enforcer on the Chicago Blackhawks and Grizzly Detail on the Bears.   On their last 44 power plays, the Winnipeg Jets have scored ONCE. I’m never complaining about the Hawks’ power play again. — James Neveau (@JamesNeveau) November 12, 2013   Congrats IOC. You’ve given the Olympics to a country that will prevent journalists from doing their jobs http://t.co/hmVB8R6htm — James Neveau (@JamesNeveau) November 11, 2013   Catch me Fridays at 7:30 AM Central talking Bears for WAOR Michiana, NBC Sports Radio and Tuesdays at 10:30 AM Central talking Illinois and Northwestern for KOZN Omaha, Fox Sports Radio Paul M.
