Foote not part of Galea probe

AP file photo Anthony Galea, a doctor from Toronto, was charged today in a Buffalo court with unlawfully prescribing certain drugs to three NFL players, who were not named. Galea has also treated athletes from other sports, including Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote. But Foote was NOT named as part of any charge against Galea. Foote had some work done by Galea on a troublesome elbow a couple years ago. I talked with Foote briefly earlier this year about the allegations that were swirling around Galea, and he said he wasn’t at all worried about being caught up in any of the mess, because he only had minor work done on the elbow and that was it – no exotic medications used.
