Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Donald Jones is retiring from the NFL due to a kidney disease that Jones has suffered from his “entire life.” Jones announced his decision via his twitter account: “As some of you may know, I have been suffering from a kidney disease throughout my entire life. As a result of recent advances in my disease, I am no longer able to pursue my career in the National Football League. Playing in the NFL was a lifelong dream of mine, and though I have the opportunity to continue my career, stepping away from the game is absolute best decision for my family and for my health.” An undrafted free agent signing out of Youngstown State in 2010, Jones spent three seasons with the Bills where he amassed 82 receptions for 887 yards and six touchdowns. Queen City Sports wants to wish Jones all the best as he puts his health before his career, a decision that many sometimes never make. Spiller to get ball 'until he throws up'

Bill offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett spelled it out pretty clearly on how the team intends to use running back C.J. Spiller: “We’re going to give him the ball until he throws up."

The Bills shouldn’t rush the quarterback situation

The Buffalo Bills surprised many when they selected EJ Manuel in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. And even though there are plenty of people who think Manuel’s high draft status means he should start right away, Mike Mayock feels differently. “I think who the guy is Week 1 is less important than what the big picture is,” says Mayock. “From my perspective, you have a...

Bills’ Players that Deserve the Call to Canton

The Bills have many players that have garnered consideration in the past, but there are three players that should be inducted because of their importance, not only to the Bills, but also to the rest of the league.  While it is likely that only one of the players on this list will get in (without the help of the senior committee), each of these players deserves consideration,...

Can Buying Madden Provide A Blackout Loophole for Bills Fans?

Owen Good of Kotaku posted an interesting tidbit today: buying the anniversary edition of this year’s Madden is the cheapest way to watch the NFL. Presumably Good means ALL of the NFL games, because you can watch a healthy 3 or 4 games a week over free local airwaves. But for WNY fans of the Buffalo Bills who don’t attend every home game, there is a potential game changing easter...

Running Back Context: CJ Spiller set to take charge of Buffalo backfield, how will he fare in Doug Marrone’s offense?

Heading into his fourth season CJ Spiller finally resides atop the Buffalo Bills’ depth chart. Make no mistake, Fred Jackson has been an effective contributor for the Bills when healthy, but his presence has kept Spiller from reaching his true fantasy potential. With Chan Gailey ousted the expectation is that Doug Marrone is ready to unleash Spiller. For reasons that many had trouble...

Bills expect Kevin Kolb back Friday

The Buffalo Bills have been without quarterback Kevin Kolb since he suffered a freak knee injury this weekend slipping on a rubber mat while walking from one practice field to another. There was initially concern regarding the severity of the injury, but it appears Kolb will be back with the Bills sooner than later. In fact, head coach Doug Marrone told reporters -- including Chris...

Bills plan on giving C.J. Spiller “the ball until he throws up”

Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett is a smart man,  he knows who they have to give the ball to.  He told reporters that they plan on giving running back C.J. Spiller the ball “until he throws up.” “It’s real simple,” Hackett said, via The Buffalo News. “We’re going to give him the ball until he throws up. So he’s either got to tap out or throw up on the...

E.J. Manuel looking better than expected for Bills: Ready to start?

The coaches and players have been speaking highly of rookie first round draft pick E.J. Manuel. The fans are excited to see what he can bring to the table. The experts pinned him as a developmental quarterback who appeared indecisive at times. Well, mandatory training camp is officially underway in Western New York and the coaching staff and players couldn’t be any happier about...

Buffalo Bills sign free-agent DB Mark LeGree

The Buffalo Bills have signed free agent defensive back Mark LeGree to fill the roster spot left open following Mana Silva's unexcused departure. LeGree has yet to play in the NFL after being selected by Seattle in the fifth round of the 2011 draft out of Appalachian State. He was cut by the Seahawks before the start of his rookie season. He has spent the past two years on...

C.J. Spiller Will Run Ball ‘Until He Throws Up’ This Season, Bills Offensive Coordinator Says

C.J. Spiller had better get his conditioning in during camp. He’s going to be doing a whole lot of running this season. “It’s real simple,” Bills offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett told WGR’s The Howard and Simon Show on Wednesday. “We’re going to give him the ball until he throws up. So he’s either got to tap out or throw up on the field. Let’s just put it...

C.J. Spiller Will Run For Buffalo Bills ‘Until He Throws Up’

C.J. Spiller really burst onto the scene with a breakout 2012 campaign in his third year for the Buffalo Bills, rushing for 1,244 yards and six scores on 207 carries (6.0 YPC) with 43 receptions for 459 yards and two TDs through 16 games (nine starts). The 5-11, 200-pound speedster just turned this 26-years-old this week and looks to take on a more significant role in the Bills’...

Return to Relevance – Tight Ends

Definition of RELEVANCE: 1 – a : relation to the matter at hand b : practical and especially social applicability : pertinence If you are a first time reader of the Return to Relevance series, I’ll bring you up to speed faster than Chan Gailey can switch base defensive fronts; relevancy in the NFL is defined as postseason play. By that logic, the Buffalo Bills have not fielded...

Bills OC Hackett: Spiller Will Get Ball ‘Until he Throws Up’

photo credit to:t Penfield, NY- One of the biggest frustrations with the Buffalo Bills offense last year under former head coach, Chan Gailey was the misuse of stud running back CJ Spiller.
